Harold Clayton Lloyd

Nació el 20 de abril de 1894 en Burchard, Nebraska. Aficionado desde niño al cine, cuando cuenta doce años trabaja como acomodador en el Teatro Orpheon de Omaha. Allí conoce al actor John Lane Connor, director de la Compañía Ambulante Burwood.

En 1907 Connor le dio un papelito en la obra "Tess of the D'Urbevilles". Cursó estudios en la Escuela de Arte Dramático de San Diego. Después trabaja como figurante y en 1914 comenzó a rodar como estrella los primeros cortometrajes para Hal Roach, con el que colaboró hasta 1923. Después de interpretar personajes de Willie Work y de Lonesome Luke, en 1917 comenzó a ser el célebre "joven con gafas de concha", imagen que le daría la fama. 

A menudo representaba verdaderos números acrobáticos ( El hombre mosca, 1923).

Junto a Bebe Daniels y Snub Pollard consiguió al principio gran éxito en numerosos cortometrajes. Tras algún tiempo se pasó al largometraje que continuó interpretando hasta el final de los años treinta. Al final del cine mudo, su creación sufrió un parón.

En 1923 contrajo matrimonio con la actriz Mildred Davis con la que tuvo dos hijos también actores Harold Lloyd Jr. y Gloria Lloyd. En 1919 sufrió un accidente al hacerse una foto publicitaria, lo que le hizo perder una mano.


Está considerado junto a Charles Chaplin y Buster Keaton, como uno de los más importantes comediantes.Harold Lloyd falleció el 8 de marzo de 1971 a causa de un cáncer en Beverly Hills, California.

Juan Carlos Arteche - Biografia

Juan Carlos Arteche

Nació el 11 de Abril de 1957 en Maliaño (Cantabria)

Falleció el 13 de Octubre de 2010 a los 53 años de edad.

Juan Carlos Arteche falleció a los 53 años de edad tras una larga enfermedad. Su carrera futbolística estuvo ligada fundamentalmente al Atlético de Madrid, club al que llegó en 1978. Consiguió dos títulos: la Copa del Rey de 1985, y ese mismo año, la Supercopa de España. 

En 1986 disputó con su equipo la final de la Recopa de Europa, que perdió 3-0 ante el Dinamo de Kiev. 

En 1988, él y otros tres jugadores (Landáburu, Quique Ramos y Setién) fueron despedidos por el polémico presidente Jesús Gil. Los jugadores denunciaron la irregularidad ante Magistratura, y los tribunales les dieron la razón por despido improcedente. Se quedó en el equipo una temporada más, pero el entrenador no le utilizó y se retiró en 1989, a los 32 años. 

Arteche disputó con el Atlético en Liga 308 partidos, 292 completos, 304 de titular, consiguiendo 18 goles. Es el cuarto jugador con más partidos en la historia del Atlético de Madrid en Liga por detrás de Adelardo (401), Tomás (367) y Collar (338). 

Jugador de gran presencia física, se distinguió por su fuerza y contundencia, lo que le llevó a ser considerado uno de los jugadores más duros de su época.
